Looks like the bright object to the upper left is syphoning material from the spiral.
A sputtering tail.
I've seen an almost identical galaxy to this one. Double halo, faint bar, dominant core. Lovely.
This is a very interesting shape indeed. Dominant core with faint bar and double halo.
Very impressive arms, tumbling through the cosmos.
Is this the result of a merger from long ago? What can account for symmetrical loops either side of the core?
I name this galaxy "The Danish".
As far as #artifacts go this one's pretty spectacular.
A sly eye in the dark.
This looks iike a faint tail of material is being drawn from the larger galaxy by the smaller one on the left.
They all look pretty irregular and look like a lots of new stars are being born, so I'd say this is possibly the result of a past pile-up?
Looks a bit like a snake's head.
The result of a past close encounter? Instense #starforming can be seen in both disturbed galaxies
Something seriously disturbed.
This looks like the result of a merger still ongoing.
Looks like something cataclysmic happened here and set off some intense star forming.
Chance alignment of dust?
There appears to be something sweeping clean through the arm of this galaxy, or some intense star forming happening.
I'm more interested in what's going on with the other arm. Seems stripped bare by something.
