strange looking galaxy for sure

looks like you got some stars, no galaxies
http://cas.sdss.org/dr7/en/tools/quicklook/quickobj.asp?id=588017724402499815
yeah, that's because it's been artificially redshifted. it's actually a quite beautiful #barred #spiral, see link to skyserver image
I haven't seen any Hubble galaxies this bright green before, is this a star? or a side-effect of image processing?
possible #merger
#disturbed #spiral
I can see faint #spiral arms, I think this is a galaxy @ginjah
beautiful lopsided #dustlane on the lower right galaxy, they might be interacting, but its hard to tell
@ncameron I think it's more likely overlapping with stars, im not sure but it doesn't look like any lensing i've seen before
#clumpy #barred #spiral with #starformation
this has got to be a star/artifact
nothing to see here, move along
i cannot tell if there is a discrete galaxy here, it looks like clumpy star formation in the distal arms of a spiral galaxy
this galaxy confuses me, it looks almost dome shaped from this angle. I cannot tell if the core is actually in the center of the galaxy.
cool! my first image with real gravitational lensing!
very faint #edgeon galaxy
#starformation going on in the outer arms of this #spiral
color doesn't mean much here, this is an artificially red-shifted image
looks like the core is significantly off-center, maybe an #elliptical or #disturbed #spiral
but really, I'm kind of confused by this one - looks like its an irregular-shaped #clumpy galaxy, probably a #disturbed #spiral
it's an inter-galactic fried egg!
#toofainttoclassify, I can barely see it!
clumpy, may be a #merger, but too blurry to tell
looks like an #overlap
wow Elizabeth that optical image is amazing!
THAT is cool!
#pinkdot image artifacts
is that really a separate galaxy? or is it just a bluish starforming #clump on the large spiral galaxy in the left half of the image?
really? because the object in the center seems to be slightly jointed? like 2 disks are colliding on an angle
#cluster, #merger or #overlap
well I maybe see a faint shadow in the center, but I couldn't tell!
in the skyserver image, it looks like a figure 8! pretty cool!
this strange #clumpy galaxy appears to have spiral arms going in different directions!
is that a #dustlane, an #irregular galaxy, or is this simply a disturbed #spiral? I don't see a bulge
#ring revealed by image processing glitch
#clumpy #starformation
#edgeon
#overlap
lots of #starformation going on in this clumpy #spiral
beautiful #faceon #spiral
#elliptical and/or #disturbed
what is that blue spot? I cannot see it in the Skyserver picture
really cool, looks like a central bulge and disk within a larger ring/spiral formation
#elliptical
#disturbed disk; and is that a star on the right? it looks dim
possible #merger, I think both galaxies look slightly disturbed, bulges are slightly off-center
#barred #ring, looks like it is leaching material from something nearby, or possibly that's just tidal debris left from a past merger
ah thank you!
#irregular
looks like some lensing going on with that bright blue spot coming from behind the central bulge
galaxy cluster? or merger?
very blurry, seems like there might be tidal debris, but too hard to tell
is that a smaller galaxy merging with the larger one? Or is the smaller clump orbiting the larger clump?
tear drop shape - is this a comet or an edge-on galaxy with tidal debris? difficult to classify
I have no idea how to classify something like this.
I marked it as a star or artifact, too difficult to classify
yeah I was thinking it might be a comet too. I classified it as a disk with a tidal structure.
