#AGN? or just overexposed centre (but then that's because it's so bright)
The bright blue irregular galaxy at the centre - with the dark blue blotch, it looks like there star formation all over
There is a small galaxy nearby when you get to navigate
fascinating - centre so bright it shines through thick edge-on disc! How can I get on another database to check for agn/black hole?
interaction with smaller neighbour but not sure about merger - starburst blotch in neighbour but no distortion, unlike main object
#AGN? line on spectrum stretched as if there was a black hole but can see any mentioned on NED or SIMBAD
cosmic onion rings, look seriously deep-fried to me 😃
What is that pale thing then? Looked like another more distant galaxy peeking out from behind the main bright one
quite a find
#AGN
#merger
#overlap
Thanks a lot
Another seriously ambiguous one (at least to my eyes)
Struggling with this one - too blue for elliptical but no arms for a spiral; can someone help?
What would a quasar look like seen through an envelope of an elliptical? I'm thinking about this red dot at 7-8 o'clock
Great interaction;
Disturbed elliptical or dying spiral?
disturbance on the left -merger, or fly-by?
Tiny bit of lensing in blue-ish at 3 o'clock?
Any way to cross-check with different database for possible AGN?
If it's this blue at z=0.595, that's got to be the mother of all star formations in there
another #megabar
No entry on NED or SIMBAD for this
Centre seems quite bright for z=0.043 - AGN possible?
Thanks; I had a go at the paper but it's way over my head!
Cheers 😃 happy to be here 😃
Could NELG contain an AGN but its black hole would be less massive than in galaxies with broad emission lines?
Have marked as elliptical but it's strangely blue
After a year in digital wilderness I'm glad to be able to do basic classifications:-)
What a shame I'm stuck with a tablet here... difficult to draw those lines:-(
Need a new hashtag #megabar 😃
#overlap? Not much disturbance for a merger;
#AGN likely?
mismatch? Pic of galaxy but spectrum of star?
wow!
are these three interacting?
disturbed but by what?
#merger? some disturbance
looks odd with different parts aligned along different axes
#merger -looks great
just fab
red smudges towards top right - artifacts or is the galaxy ejecting something from the nucleus?
faint streak at 7 o'clock doesn't match direction of rotation - cld be ejected from nucleus?
#AGN?
doesn't show up on NED
#AGN? no spectrum available but nucleus v. compact&bright + disturbance in rest of galaxy
another late-stage #merger?
late stages of #merger?
faint, fuzzy & unknown to NED - star behind dust cloud?
RadioS i.e. #AGN?
this is harder than I thought:-) but point taken:-)
so the yellow and the blue are in fact one galaxy; was wondering about that:-)
#AGN; QSO broadline (Skyserver)
#overlap? elliptical over blue (starforming?) in background
#merger? or some interaction - disturbance in the foreground galaxy
sorry, meant 2013:-/

patterns around nucleus - optical effect or morphology?
#AGN? very bright and compact nucleus
#stars; weird and wonderful; line of sight or gravitational connection?

just how long are these arms...?
#AGN? no spectrum, z or record on SIMBAD
late stages of merger? not much in the way of spiral arms left
don't know how to classify this:-/
what's the streak at 5-6 o'clock? another foreground object?
#merger? or overlap?
#AGN? looks like late stages of merger with some irregularites + bright&compact centre;
I thinks it's SB but this star gets in the way:-)
results of #merger? starburst and disturbance?
impossible to say! two SBa galaxies? overlap? not much sign of disturbance or starburst...
fly-by? some interaction with the neighbour and lots (merger?) of disturbance in the neighbouring spiral;
#AGN? very bright and compact centre
Skyserver centres on bright dot at 4 o'clock - foreground star?
#AGN? dust settling after #merger? very compact core; no z but looks redshifted a lot
cluster; not sure what interaction
#AGN? no z available but looks redshifted a lot; nucleus still very well defined;
is that noise at 6 o'clock or something coming out of the centre?
this a satellite trail #artifact
at z=0.0317 this looks like starburst; post-merger?
#merger; Skyserver centres on remnants of irregular galaxy being devoured? no NED or Simbad record:-(

#AGN? very compact centre
satellite trail
#merger late stages?; starburst: at z=.025 these young stars still look very bright; &lots of disturbance;
looks like #overlap to me
between those stars, is there a galaxy?
#AGN? at z=.101 the nucleus looks still quite bright, esp compared to the rest
#merger in late stages?
is that an inner ring?
some interaction? fly-by?
NGC 0670; stunning;
looks more like overlap of ellipticals; not much info on system but middle one looks the closest (outer edge seems to obscure neighbours...
I wonder if the one at 12 o'clock might be Seyfert - not much info on that either!
#star
this looks like stars in our galaxy to me
#overlap? doesn't look like interaction; no redshift available for either;
not sure what that cone pointing downwards is;
#merger? quite bright for z=0.1225
NGC 1667; Seyfert 2; but Skyserver centres on supernova SN1986N
they are foreground stars in our galaxy
#AGN? lots of disturbance (post-#merger?) and quite bright centre
fair amount of disturbance though so at least some interaction likely
something went wrong with imaging
this is satellite trail;
disturbance by IrS nearby?
cld be overlap with a more distant galaxy? or QSO shining through the foreground target?
not sure about merger but some interaction; can't find z for either;
yes but skyserver centres on a feature in 1 of the arms, not bright core of spiral; difficult to make out; can someone check why?
#overlap; no z for either but target looks redder&no signs of interaction
#merger? no spectrum but looks like starburst&serious disturbance
#AGN? not very compact but quite bright & some (post-merger?) irregularities? no z or spectra available
UvS; post-merger? and starburst? no spectra on the system;
looks like a bit of interaction; but can't find either on NED or SIBAD; is my comp playing up?
is that a tiny elliptical peeking out from behind this SB?
trouble classifying this one; is there a long but faint bar in the middle?
disturbance
I'd like to see the fireworks when those eventually collide:-)
just amazing; what sort of interaction could cause that?
#AGN;
cup cakes anyone?😃
any ideas what's going on here?
