NGC 5303 and NGC 5303A. I can only see one but there are two apparently, which is what has initiated the starburst.
What a beauty. NGC 4595.
#Starburst galaxy. It must be enormous.
Simbad has this down as an emission object, but it looks like a PN to me.
#Hubble #Spiral in the process of forming.
#Dustlane
NGC 6161. I think I might make a collection of NGC objects, these pictures are the best I have seen.
NGC 4637, which Simbad says is a #GPair. Striking image though.
A polar ring? That's a possibility, although the centre does not appear to be obscured in any way.
This #spiral has a bar coming out of one side of the core.
#LSB galaxy. Its almost invisibubble.
The perils of classifying. This is actually a #spiral, but its not obvious (to me at least) until you see it in Skyserver.
As far as I can make out this is a #starburst galaxy, with a huge rate of star formation going on. A #spiral too.
Not sure what this is. It is either a merger or there is some material being ejected from the centre perpendicular to its axis.
NGC 29. Nice.
These 's' shaped #spirals seem to emerge from these large clouds of gas and dust like butterflies from pupae.
There is a supernova lurking in this galaxy SN1998ef, but I can't see it. Nice #dustlane across the top.
Have a look at this, it's an emerging spiral, you can just see it taking shape. #Spiral.
Compact circular nucleus, surrounded by a #ring.
UGC 12587. Nice #Spiral, which seems to have only one main spiral arm, looping out from the centre
Another #Hubble image with some structure.

NGC 7694, Lots of luvverly #blue star forming going on.
NGC 7532
Nice bar on this #barred spiral.
NGC 7372 A bit like the Milky Way would look like if we could see it.
I suppose the younger the Universe was the less space there was, so these #mergers would be more common.
#Merger #AGN (big galaxy Mrk 975 Seyfert 1) The small one is UGC 774b. #Disturbed. Fantastic.
A #Hubble #Edgeon
UGC 403 #Gpair
#Hubble #Spiral. A clear 'S' shaped spiral with bright centre in Hubble.
Interesting #irregular, looks like it has been pulled out of shape by something. Not in Simbad or NED catalogues.
#Low Surface Brightness galaxy.
Lots of #blue star forming areas in this galaxy.
#irregular
NGC 4680 Lots of #blue starforming areas.
Galaxy with #blue star forming regions.
#merger You are being watched.
Here is an interesting galaxy which looks like it has a #Ring, but you could also say its a very tight spiral. I think the latter.
#merger
NGC 638 Nice #bar with #blue star forming regions forming a #Ring. Looks like a brooch.
Shiny thing in space. NGC 4064. Simbad does not say it is an AGN, but it certainly looks like it. #Dustlane.
Another #Hubble #spiral. I thought the early Universe was supposed to be lacking in structure. Disclaimer: I am not an expert.
#Hubble. Busy area. I wonder how long after the Big Bang this was?
IC 5243 Radio Galaxy. All those #blue star forming regions causing the radio noise.
Nice busy galaxy with #blue star forming regions and uncatalogued in the databases to which we have access.
Its worth pointing out that Wolf Rayets are stars, inside the galaxy. So a very active galaxy.
WR69, another #Wolf-Rayet #AGN. I always thought these were quite rare, but thats two in a few days.
#AGN Seyfert 1 galaxy.
Looks like it has an active nucleus, with lots going on. #AGN.
#AGN It does look like a merger but Simbad says its an AGN. Mrk 930. Loads of #star forming going on.
#Hubble #Ring Have a look at this Hubble picture. Very bright centre with 'x' shaped bars.
#Hubble image. I would like to know what that blueish/purple patch is.
#Merger #Disturbed IC 196

Its APG 299C, its a galaxy, part of a complex group of galaxies.
There is a #barred #spiral lurking inside this #Hubble image.
Interesting #Hubble image.
Some #blue star forming areas going on in that cloud.
NGC 2494 Emission Line Galaxy #AGN The #blue areas are probably star forming regions.
#Blue star forming areas.
#Disturbed. Hardly has any structure at all, looks like it has been pulled apart at some time in the past.
#GPair I think, #merger.
Now that's what I call an #edgeon. Alfalfa 4-22
This #Hubble image is so bright it has its own diffraction spike. #AGN?
Is this a #Spiral? It looks like something which could become a spiral, but I can't see any arms. Spiral in the process of formation?
#AGN galaxy with #blue star forming regions.
#Merger. Two #barred spirals.
Another #Ring from a Hubble Galaxy. Nice #Bar too.
This spiral has an interesting double bar, forming an 'X'.
Yes, when I classified it I did include the bar, hard not to notice it.
#Spiral? Now this is an obscure Hubble image, but that blue object looks like a disturbed spiral to me.
This looked like half an elliptical, but now I think it is an elliptical which has illuminated an area each side of the jet. Thoughts?
#Jet This galaxy has a jet coming out of the nucleus. This is a Radio Galaxy J00303280 +1646293.
Nice galaxy with a #blue core.
I've done the blob in the middle. I just thought you might be interested in the big picture.
Quite busy in this part of the Universe!
#LSB #Spiral
A very tightly wound #spiral galaxy which is also a Seyfert 1 galaxy.
Nice #spiral galaxy. Not recorded in the databases to which we have access.
#Disturbed with lots of #blue star forming areas. Strong #UV Source apparently.
#LSB Galaxy #IR Source
This is a #spiral which is not listed on any of the databases. Look at that bright object, is that a foreground star?
#Disturbed with lots of #blue star forming region.
2 #edgeon galaxies, I think #overlap.
#Disturbed and very diffuse.
#Spiral A nice little emerging spiral.
#Spiral NGC 470
#Spiral. The small bright object top right is a #Quasar.
A galaxy which is a strong radio source, with a moon crescent shaped star forming area.
This galaxy has two very brights spots. I assume they are foreground stars but can't resolve them separately in Skyserve.
#LSB Galaxy I'm going to stick my neck out and say #dustlane rather than merger. This galaxy not in any of the databases.
Nice galaxy with #blue star forming regions. Rejoices in the name Alfalfa 2-267.
#Barred #Spiral. A lovely example. NGC 3688.
Another #Low Surface Brightness galaxy which is not listed in the databases to which we have access.
#Red galaxy. Had a look at it in Skyserver and Simbad and it really appears to be red.
#Spiral. The spiral arms are very faint, though a bit more obvious on Skyserver. Not listed on any of the databases.
Here is an interesting galaxy. It looks like a #spiral just emerging.
#Low Surface Brightness Galaxy, not recorded on any of the 3 databases to which we have access.
Not sure what to make of this one. #curiousity
It looks like a sticking plaster.
strange shape, looks like a #dustlane in the middle.
Hubble image. Very faint #ring round this galaxy.
Here's one I made earlier. #Barred #Spiral
Slightly #disturbed #barred #spiral
#disturbed. Looks like a spiral pulled out of shape.
#irregular Just a puff in space.
I would classify this as a #barred #spiral. The spiral is very faint but I think its there.
Very faint #Spiral. Love to know how far away it is. Not listed on any of the databases.
Another #irregular, not on any of the databases.
#disturbed
#irregular, not in any of the databases.
Nice #dustlane
#cluster of galaxies
#irregular, not on any database. Have to wonder how big this is.
#irregular with light purple patches. Simbad has it as an IR Source.
#Spiral NGC 1 no less.
#irregular galaxy. Not on any database.
#irregular, probably #dwarf galaxy
#Spiral. I wish they were all as easy to classify as this one.
These could be stars, but so close together? Surely they would either merge or be split up. Where's an astronomer when I need one?
#merger Not on any database. Might be an #overlap too, the bigger object might be behind the other four.
#Planetary Nebula. PN G 0031.3-00.5
#Low Surface Brightness Galaxy. Simbad lists lots of nearby stars and radio objects, but seems to have missed the galaxy.
#Low Surface Brightness Galaxy
#Spiral. Marked as a strong IR Source. Is the red streak an artifact or connected to the IR Source?
#irregular. This object is not on any of the usual databases.
This looks like an #overlap. Anyone think anything else?
Galaxies for sure.
#Spiral.
#edgeon with a #dustlane
Simbad has this galaxy containing a Supernova Type 1A but not obvious on this picture.
#spiral Very nice example.
#disturbed, being pulled about by enormous next door galaxy. (NGC 7194).
This looks like a galaxy or three to me, but simbad has them listed as radio sources rather than galaxies.
#GPair UGC 827
OK, thanks for that, I will look out for them.
I don't understand, why is this a lens? What is a lens anyway? #question.
#irregular, possibly #disturbed.
We are at least all agreed that it is a nice shade of blue.
#disturbed #irregular Not sure that this is a galaxy, although it looks like one, Simbad has it as an IR Source.
#elliptical #blue elliptical
#barred spiral Very nice, NGC 7080
#disturbed #GPair #Blue star forming regions. NGC 7770. Well worth zooming out on this one, check out huge NGC 7771, its companion.

#Barred Spiral with #blue star forming regions. NGC 7156.
NGC 6789 Definitely a galaxy, with a lot of blue star forming areas.
#Barred Spiral Looks like quite an active galaxy.
#dustlane This galaxy has what looks like a thick veil of dust through its axis. Unless its an optical effect.
#Spiral in a Hubble image.
#blue star forming regions
#barred spiral
#barred spiral, almost a #ring
#spiral #blue star forming regions. This is NGC 2725.
#spiral A nice spiral galaxy,

Thank you very much.
#spiral #ring This is a nice spiral with some blue stars along the spiral arm.
Here is a nice 'S' for the alphabet.
#spiral Nice one. IC 1357

#dustlane in the core #spiral
#blue star forming regions Mrk 153
#dustlane #blue stars

#blue stars
#stars is what they are.
#Spiral Interesting looking spiral, worth a look.
#blue stars. #disrupted. Look at this, lots of blue stars or regions separated out from the galaxy. Have not seen anything quite like this.
Thanks very much.
what does #GPair mean?
#blue stars #ring Nice ring of blue stars inside this galaxy.
#barred Nice looking object.
#merger Intergalactic pas de deux. They are tearing each other apart.
#barred #ring The Skyserver image of this galaxy has some extraneous purple and green colour on it, which I assume is a film aberration.
#Merger Multi-Merger Looks like 5 if not 6 separate objects here.
#Merger #Dustlane These two look almost like mirror images.
#spiral A rather nice spiral galaxy NGC 881
#ring This galaxy has a faint ring around it.
#clumpy
#blue stars #star forming Lots of star forming in an irregular pattern.
#tidaltail On Skyserver you can see this spiral is trailing a long line of gas and dust.
#merger #spiral #tidaltail
#spiral #barred #blue Lots of star forming going on here I think. Interesting that the centre of the spiral is blue.
#star Think its a star now.
#interesting. This is a Hubble image so not distinct, but this object has a round green aura. Is this a galaxy or an explosion?
#tidaltail Another galaxy which looks like it has some tidal forces.
#bar #ring Nice symmetrical galaxy with an inner circle with a bar and an outer ring.
#tidal debris On the Hubble images we get the option of tagging an image as tidal debris, but not on the SDSS. I think this is tidal debris
#merger #spiral Lots going on here, looks like an elliptical with a dustlane merging with a spiral galaxy.
I would normally think that those two foreground objects are stars, but they look very symmetrical. Anyone care to comment?
#merger and #ring
Interesting looking galaxy with a bulge.
A lovely galaxy with a clear bar and faint spiral arms.
A nice spiral galaxy, can't see any bar, and one of the spiral arms is much more pronounced than the others.
Eyeballs in space, we're being watched.
Interesting dull orange nucleus.
Nice spiral.
Looks like a spiral, not sure what the blue blob in front is, could be a star in the FOV.
Yes, most likely.
A clumpy galaxy.
Hard to say if this is a galaxy. It has two very symmetrical cores.
Is this a galaxy? It looks like an exotic earing.
Possible dust land or a smaller cloud of gas and dust nearer to the main galaxy.
Looks like it either has two cores or a dust lane down the middle, or there has been a large explosion.
A thing of beauty.
Can't tell if this is a galaxy or a collection of stars. If its a galaxy its very clumpy.
The bright object is not central in the galaxy.
Without a scale its difficult to tell if this is a cluster of galaxies or a lumpy single galaxy.
Don't know what to make of this. Looks like two distinct objects or a more solid mass trailing a diffuse mass of stars and gas.
Its indistinct but the core of this galaxy looks like it might be bar bell shaped.
Appears to have two companions, although they may be nearer stars in the FOV.
There looks to be a thin band of gas joining these two objects together.
Central bulge surrounded by 4 smaller objects, could be stars or just an optical effect.
Lovely object. Like to know what those colours represent. Different chemical composition I suppose.
Not sure what to make of this, looks like an emerald necklace. Assuming they are all at the same distance.
The centre of the right hand object looks like it has two gas? clouds which make it look like it has wings.
Difficult to say if these 3 objects are connected, but there do look to be faint filaments linking them.
The central core looks to have some kind of dot in the centre, to the right is a smaller object, possibly linked?
2 galaxies, both with prominent centres.
It looks like a barred spiral, although the two spiral arms are indistinct. There is a prominent white disc at the lower end of the arm.

#Blue nucleus. #Blue star forming area.
#Merger
NGC 747 Nice #Spiral
#Hubble #Merger
#Hubble clumpy galaxy. A good example.
One for all you #dustlane collectors.
UGC 2051 Looks enormous, with a faint #blue spiral within it.
#Hubble #Spiral
#Hubble #Merger
Like shiny things? In space? Its a shiny thing in space. IC 180.
NGC 3961.
#Radio galaxy with a prominent #dustlane.
NGC 6606, and a satellite trail.
NGC 1074, interesting looking spiral.
#Hubble galaxy with a centre so bright it has its own diffraction spike.
#Hubble #Barred Spiral
#LSB galaxy, which appears to be trailing a number of #blue star forming regions. UGC 11820.
Another #Hubble image with some structure.
Nice galaxy with #blue star forming regions.
I had never heard of an HH object. This is HH2A and if you go into Simbad you see a lot going on in this part of space, very active.
#Ring galaxy. Amazingly neat circle.
#Disturbed galaxy with lots of #blue star forming areas
#Planetary Nebula PN G129.5+04.5
#Merger
Look! A shark! A space shark! (Cue Jaws music).
Oh all right, its a galaxy.
#barred #spiral, also #AGN (Seyfert 2 galaxy).
UGC 1395.
NGC 513, Seyfert 2 galaxy. #AGN
This does not look like much, but zoom out on Skyserver, its a #merger, and looks quite spectacular.
#Ring
#Spiral
#irregular
Nice #dustlane
#cluster of galaxies
#irregular, not on any database. Have to wonder how big this is.
#irregular with light purple patches. Simbad has it as an IR Source.
#Spiral NGC 1 no less.
#irregular galaxy. Not on any database.
#irregular, probably #dwarf galaxy
#merger
Hubble image of what looks like an emergent #spiral galaxy.
Its designated UGC 1618B, with the nearby elliptical UGC 1618.
Quite indistinct this one, but it looks like a #barred #spiral with a faint #ring.
#bar #ring
#barred #spiral #merger #disturbed UGC 605
#spiral with nice #blue star forming areas. Looks like it is #barred too, although the bar is not distinct.
Nice #Barred #Spiral MCG 01-03-087
#Ring
Problem with the telescope filter I think.
#GPair NGC 750 and NGC 751.
#Barred Spiral with #blue star forming regions.
NGC 7156.
#Merger
NGC 6789 Definitely a galaxy, with a lot of blue star forming areas.
#Barred Spiral Looks like quite an active galaxy.
#dustlane This galaxy has what looks like a thick veil of dust through its axis. Unless its an optical effect.
#Spiral in a Hubble image.
#blue star forming regions
#barred spiral
#barred spiral, almost a #ring
#spiral #blue star forming regions.
This is NGC 2725.
#spiral A nice spiral galaxy,
#merger Quite a lot of distortion on the top spiral. UGC 2493.
Thank you very much.
#spiral #ring This is a nice spiral with some blue stars along the spiral arm.
Here is a nice 'S' for the alphabet.
#spiral Nice one. IC 1357
Forgive my lack of knowledge, but where do you get that information?
#dustlane in the core #spiral
#merger
#blue star forming regions Mrk 153
#dustlane #blue stars
#merger or #overlap. I think the latter. Any other opinions?
#barred spiral
#merger and #ring
#barred spiral
