Classic
tidal forces from a smaller galaxy.
It had a large hallo pointing to an active galactic centre
The arm are almost as bright as the bar
Very odd. The centre of this galaxy is obscured or it merging with another galaxy?
Tidel tale with a smaller galaxy at the end
Distinct disturbed dust lanes around 2 nucleuses as galaxie merge. Nice interesting image. well worth a second look.
One globular cluster about the plain of the galaxy or a fading supernova which I very much doubt.
Large elliptical gallaxy
A lenticular galaxy with a faint blue companion
#Lenticular Galaxy
With a core of dim #yellow stars and and just one irregular brighter #blue #ring, odd!
It has a heart of old stars
New stars in a matrix of old stars, its an odd ball of old stars with a #spiral galaxy at its heart
#Arms are #extended possibly due to #merge or a #tidal #encounter. Very #irregular.

it reminds me of the magellanic cloud/nebula
Just a #bar in a star matrix, no other structures.

In DECaLS Browser to the left of the subjectis two galaxies merging with an elliptical galaxy, looks very odd, I will post the link.
One of a #cluster of four.
Perhaps a faint #open-cluster
possible gravitational #lensing
Large #elliptical galaxy in a tight #cluster that of 9 galaxies. Perhap a #super-cluster with some #overlap of galaxies and possible lensing
I suggest the fainter galaxy to the right of the subject may be in a different plain of the sky to the subject.
Differentiating by colour this galaxy is part of a large #cluster.
I suggest that a second galaxy "top left" is gravitationally bound to the subject galaxy.
It's one in a #cluster of four galaxies.
I suggest there are a few #globular #clusters within the vicinity this galaxy.
Possibly a larger #elliptical galaxy in a in this #cluster
Possibly a large elliptical galaxy
It has a second prominence, pink in colour, worth checking to see if it's still there?
slight lensing to the right of the galaxy
Large #halo
The image perhaps indicates a recent merge, a almost equal mix of blue and yellow stars
Possibly a globular cluster but no bright nuclearus, slightly irregular
#Irregular #Bared #spiral, yellow stars with a ring of uneven blue stars. Reminds me of the superman logo.
Bar of yellow stars with blue stars at the margins, diamond shaped
No Nucleus, yellow and blue stars
Ring of blue stars set in outer part of a matrix of yellow stars.
An amorphous patchy blob of yellow and blue stars
Similar to the sombrero galaxy, different orientation.
the nucleus of this galaxy is missing but there is a bright red and yellow mass, I suggest this is ejected binary nucleus.
Above the main galaxy a distant red galaxy with gravitational lensing.
Edge on seems quite puffed up with four distinct Star forming regions. Can' see the central bulge.
A #bar galaxy with 2 #rings, the inner ring sits on the bar while the outer ring is very faint at twice the distance of the inner ring.
A #Bar without spiral arm.
Beautiful #spiral, star forming regions and interest and unusual paten in the spiral #arms
I think we are looking at this galaxy through gas and dust in the Milky Way or it's a star?
Dust lane, perhaps not quite edge on, this galaxy is very puffed up with a large nucleus.
#Gravitationally #disturbed by a larger companion, it's a #bar, stretched out #spiral galaxy, possibly with mainly young stars.
#Ringed, #spiral galaxy with #dust obscuring the spiral arms.
Unusual and rose like with a double #ring and #dust at the outer edge of the outer #ring. It may have a faint #bar?
Edge on and distorted
We may be looking through dust in our galaxy at this object?
Edge on galaxy with a smaller cluster of stars very near to middle of the disk also a blue region indicative of star formation at one edge.
A faint and delicate #bar, #spiral galaxy. classic!
A close pass with another body may have caused the #disturbance on one side of this galaxy.
#Dust-lanes, 2 #prominences, orange prominence may have dust associated with it. yellow prominence is the galactic centre.
Reminiscent of the sombrero galaxy but for a #distortion of the outer ring, the distortion seems to contain an orange brightness.
A beautiful #catherine-wheel #spiral galaxy
I have checked the SkyServe and there are spiral arms just visible, almost indistinguishable from the rest of the galaxy.
Faint #bar
It appears to have no galactic centre, an irregular faint collection of stars and gas with bluer star forming arias.
Close pass of two galaxies leaving the usual string of stars between them. Possible merge...
Dust and gas forming spoke formations toward the edge of the galaxy, the is a ring of dust and gas that is half circumference of the galaxy.
Having a dense bright nucleus, the rest of the galaxy is faint and very irregular with on obvious arm just faint clouds of stars.
Majestic #spiral #bared galaxy.
Odd, a tadpole shaped with two eyes, there seems to be two galactic centres.
#Close-pass and possible #merge at a late stage of two galaxies, the usual #arm of #stars stretching between them.
It seem to have a satellite galaxy within it's outer aria, it's luminosity is as great as the nucleus.
The nucleus is off centre, perhaps as a result of a merge. I suggest a similar event as Markarian 177 and SDSS1133.
Very #disturbed/#chaotic, majority #blue light, I would suggest as a result of 2 galaxies merging.
#Double #ringed galaxy
Large slightly flattened elliptical galaxy seen edge on, intersected with a faint dust lane, I would suggest mainly old stars
I have just look at the colour image and it shows a #ring around the #bar. Can we have the colour images back please?
A well defined #bar 2 #armed #spiral galaxy
#Bared #spiral. The material in the #spiral #arms seems to be falling back on to the #bar, perhaps to form a #ring around the #bar.
#bared galaxy with a well defined #ring with #ghostly #spiral #arms. Early formation of a bared spiral galaxy.
Sorry Budgieye, prominence's = rounded brightness's, I believe them to be a smaller proto-galaxy (clusters of stars) forming a lager galaxy?
It looks like a group of #globular #cluster #merging to form a larger body of stars, #star-forming within #clusters.
There seems to be possibly 5 #prominence's that are #blue in value set in a matrix of loosely associated stars the shape of a reversed "J".
#Large #Blue #clusters #merging
It appears to be in a horse shoe shape with #clusters of #blue, #yellow and #green with in an #irregular #halo
This #Galaxy #disturbed by a smaller #ringed #shepherd #galaxy on the edge of the larger galaxy. Location; North west of the central gallaxy
#spiral galaxy with 3 or 4 #arms and that are dominated by #star-forming regions.
Made from mainly older stars, three #dust lines, very little star production. It's a large #elliptical galaxy.
A large #elliptical galaxy.
The Spiral arms are very fain.
Mainly #old_stars, bright, dense central region, the galaxy #elliptical shape.
#Flat_disk with #gas and #dust with some new #star_forming in the outer ring, #old_stars in the #center region of the galaxy
Gravitationally disturbed #bar #spiral with large #star_forming regions.
A very typical #bar #spiral Galaxy
#Colorful, #confused and #star-forming the result of a #mergers can't see the center of the galaxy obscured cloud of hot #gas and #dust.
Milky Way analogue
Spectacular merger, First encounter, spiral arm be stretched out with star_forming regions, very beautiful.
Perhaps a large elliptical galaxy
Spiral arm are very faint or the core is very bright
elliptical in a cluster of 3 with smaller and much fainter galaxy to the left.
possible gravitational lensing, possible merging, or it a closely bound cluster of galaxies?
It edge on, 3 small cluster of star seem to be "G" bound to this galaxy, not a well define central bulge but well defined dust lanes.
Dust lanes, lots of detail
I can see a bar but no arms!
Perhaps a small dwarf galaxies is merging with it larger neighbor, similar to the Sagittarius dwarf galaxy and the Milky Way.
Part of a group or cluster of galaxies
It seems to have a much smaller companion galaxy
lovely observation with clusters of stars orbiting.
Image artefacts and star
I think it's obscured by a foreground object, I assume it's a small white star in our galaxy.
Wow, it's a #bar in a #ring but no spiral arms?
Dramatic #merge, second encounter, elongated arch of stars from first encounter, two clusters of stars associated North West and East.
these two #merging galaxies seem to be part of a #cluster of smaller galaxies.
It seems very disturbed, Dust lays, star in extended spiral arms, Perhaps post merge or an encounter with another galactic body.
odd shape
Lots of star production and dust
the galaxy has a #companion #cluster of stars.
this galaxy is gaining or losing star, a lighter patch of stars to the upper left of the galaxy.
there is a curious shaped red object next to the nucleus of the galaxy, have checked it on skyserver it appears in that image as well.
star covers a part of the core.
Seems to have 2 satellite galaxies, 1 on the outer edge and one near the core.
Inner #ring, #star-forming in #spiral #arms.
there is far more structure than first appears, dust and new star formation reveled by the slight angle of the disk.
extended spiral arm may suggest a resent encounter with another galactic body, may have passed or merged.
Large galaxy, old stars, no jet just a very distant galaxy
this must be one of the oddest Galaxies I have see
I am not sure if the white object is a white dwarf star in our galaxy.
#Nebular forming #bubbles emanating from the central #bar galaxy aria. See SDSS J001745.54+112701.0 for confirmation.
#Elliptical Galaxy ?
#Cluster
Looks like an large elliptical galaxy
the spiral arms are very faint
It has a bright halo?
large elliptical galaxy
It looks like a large elliptical galaxy
A large galaxy in the heart of a galactic #cluster, all the other galaxies are significantly smaller.
#symmetric, #edge-on, it's the shape of a propeller? Probably an optician effect caused by the outer region having less stars.
Not one but two #rings, lots of #symmetry
Oddly shaped with an unusual #starforming aria for what looks like a #globbularcluster.
#dust lanes in the darker outer #ring bright inner #ring, no bar, no spiral.
#starforming in the arms and older star in the center.
#bar #ring
#odd #regular #ring, there are no spiral arms at all?
This has a very odd shape?
Not sure if this is an optical adoration, in the space to the left and right of the galaxy there are two dark patches, the left is darker?
perhaps it's #irregular shape and it's #starforming is as a result of a #merge.
#Spiral arms appear to have oddly shaped and in some cases disembodied form the galaxy.
I have classified this prominence (it's not a galaxy, it's #starforming region) as part of the galaxy in this image, #bar, #spiral, #merge.
A #bar galaxy with faint extended #spiral arms
#bar, #spiral, with #starforming prominence.
#pink prominence, #orange nucleus.
#irregular #dust
#irregular, #starforming
#irregular with hot gas and stars being spun out of the body of the galaxies.
seems to have a jet of hot gas or plasma from the center, not sure?
#irregualr, #blue #starforming with #irregualr, nucleus.
#Merge, stars are being thrown out of both galaxies.
This galaxy is unusually #blue
Inner #ring of gas and old star formation, outer #ring has #dust and new #starforming regions.
I believe this is the result #merge, there is lots of #starforming and it's #irregular.
possibly #merge, new star formation throughout the galaxy with 5 luminous prominences.
Deepa Naik, they are distant faint stars in our galaxy.
#spiral, 2 visible #dustlane, there is a second luminous prominence other than the nucleus, maybe associated with this galaxy.
The red nucleus can not be seen in the image on skyserver.
it is the most pristine I have seen, there seems to be no visible signs of current star creation. I suggest no merge in the resent past.
it's symmetry is remarkable, with darker nucleus that is red in colour/color, the greatest luminescence is a bright ring around the nucleus
merging
at some point in it's past this galaxy has encounter another galactic object, a large group of star have been displaced and star production.
A small bar in a galaxy that appears to have a lot of star production throughout it's out arms.
A large amount star production within the body of the galaxy and it's irregularity perhaps indicating a past galactic merge.
Similar to the sombrero galaxy..
Are these stars or galaxies?
SDSS J180218.14+024526.4 Type GALAXY these are star?
Image reveals bar in the center of this galaxy, view image: http://skyserver.sdss3.org/dr8/en/tools/explore/obj.asp?id=1237679996083962129
This is so unusual, I have never seen such a strange galaxy, have a look!
Not just one ring but two are round this galaxy, one large prominence at the center with two prominence one ether side close to the center,
Wow
lots of star formation, I would say from a recent merge.
Not sure if this is one or two objects, if one it has a dark line of just and it's an odd shape.
I think I can see a bar!
beautiful dark line of dust...
Lots of what appears to be star formation through out, in fact greatest prominence are star shine, can't see a galactic center.
there seem to be nothing there: http://skyserver.sdss3.org/dr8/en/tools/explore/obj.asp?id=1237679437739524121
Maybe worth a second look by someone with a more expert eye than mine...
There seems to be lots of star formation, it's shape is oddly uneven, perhaps as a result of a merge.
Small globular I think is associated with the galaxy, with a blue prominence in an out part of the galaxy.
I am not sure if this is an optical affect, or one of the arm of the spiral has been set adrift, Perhaps a merge.
lots of foreground star obscuring the detail.
I think this may be as a result of a merge.
It seem to have a tail
There appears to be a quantity of star creation on one or possibly two of the spiral arms as a result of a past merge.
I am wondering if these two have already encountered each other, there seem to be stars out of place.
I don't know if the smaller prominence is associated with the galaxy?
It reminds me of the Sombrero Galaxy but that is said to be the only one of it kind.
http://skyserver.sdss3.org/dr8/en/tools/explore/obj.asp?id=1237678881562558499
I have no idea what I am supposed to be looking at?
SDSS J210213.55-011152.5 is truly odd
This galaxy seems to have left a trail of what maybe stars, gas and dust, perhaps as a result of a merge.
Two red galaxies, Like two eyes..
Merging? I am not sure!
Now I have seen the skyserver image, I'm not so sure my classification, Is this the beginning of a merge?
Is this a merge, and is the blue spectrum light signs of new star formation?
Wow beautiful shape, the snake's head has a tongue.
I like the symmetry of this group of galaxies, there's a lot of information in this image check out View on SkyServer
I am not sure if the large bright prominence is associated with this galaxy?
Nice merge, I don't think this is an over lap?
I am again not sure bout my classification now! It could be a galaxy edge on with gas and dust obscuring the disk?
I am not use if I am looking at a lens artifact or a lens affect from the star. for now I have classified it as a galaxy with Others?
Odd indeed?
Not sure if it's starting to merge or not!
Wow, It's got it all, new star formation, stars, dust and gas spinning off in to space after the encounter, so much gravity!
In the center of the image is what looks like a cluster of stars on the edge of a galaxy
Two prominence top and bottom?
This is odd, have you an infrared image of this please?
There is gas, stars and dust spun out from main body of the galaxy, possibly as a result of a merge?
Two prominence about and below, I have seen this before?
Wow!
It has a tale extending down wards from the center?
It may be an optical artifact but there are two dark red plumbs both left and right of the center.
It looks pristine, beautiful!
I see an odd object to the lower left, What is that, is it an artifact?
there is a star partially obscuring it.
There appears to be a prominence sticking out of the center of this galaxy.
What an odd shape! It has a small prominence.
Odd band of colour
2 prominence appear ether slide of this galaxy
Very odd shape
if this is edge on then I have classified it wrong!
Cosmic collision, shame about the resolution...
It has two prominence's
What an odd shape
A titanic battle of 3 galaxies appearing to having a close encounter...
This is odd, I don't understand what is happening here but it looks dramatic.
Ref:the 2 smaller galaxies, I believe they have had a close encounter, they both see distorted.
It' has two prominence's red and blue
I have noticed noticed two red clusters opposite each other around this galaxy, I have seen this a few time before?
if it's edge on then it look distorted! if not its a early galaxy with two prominence's...
This one has two bright round prominence's other than the galactic center, possibly globular clusters?
It has a much smaller companion of the same color
Like fairy lights on a Christmas tree.
Perhaps final stage of merging, with 4 prominence of different colors the brightest being yellow. Worth a look,
Odd, but as if much of the galaxy is hidden.
These to have had an encounter in the past, the evidence for this is just visible, the upper right galaxy has a tale leading of to the left.
Is that a star, if not then it's a bit odd, perhaps it a dense cluster of stars?
this looks like it has 3 large cluster of stars
Merging galaxies have it second encounter
bright star next to the faint gallaxy
and there are two other provenances that may off a clue to what is going on here
Find myself trying to disentangle these two the one in the middle is the galaxy we are talking about here. The brighter of the two be behind
Classic

SDSS J180218.14+024526.4
Type GALAXY
these are star?
