#dustlane
The famous Squid galaxy.
Probably only one #merger - ie two galaxies 😃 Double yoker!
Could this image show the first stages of a spiral pattern? Two star forming areas yet to extend?
Asymmetrical - filament on right much longer than that on left.
Is the bright yellow part a separate object in front of the galaxy?
Overlapping? Merging? Left hand blob quite separate? Ideas, please!
Puzzled as to how to classify this. Disrupted by a merger, perhaps?
#merger #threesome
#debris #merger #tidal #strange #abnormal
This looks like an edge-on spiral without a centre, but I've no idea. Explanations welcome!
Strangely disturbed
#elephant
#merger.
I'm not confident at all about what's happening here, or even if central object is a galaxy. #clown (that probably goes for me as well!)
Suggestions, please!
Cool image! I guess it's a star, but please tell me otherwise.
Is that a foreground star/artifact at 11 o'clock?
#debris trail
Thanks ElisabethB. I'll read that tonight.
Have just seen comments below. Not sure I'm convinced about it being a lens.
I don't understand this one at all! Help, please!
Cracking #bar and #ring
♯dust lane
♯fried egg
♯compass galaxy
Spiral arms appear to be in first stages of formation
Are the two objects aligned with the galaxy foreground stars? They appear to me to be too well defined to be otherwise.
#weird
Mark it as "Star or artifact" - it's probably a foreground satellite trail
Matthew123321 - remember that you should only classify the object in the centre of the picture.
It does look like a star, in which case mark it as "Star or artifact".

Twin spiral with lensing?
I love this: you get the answer before you've asked the question! Thanks Elizabeth. Now I'll try and understand what voorwepje means 😃
Purple sphere? Help please?
If light blue is foreground star, and thus ignored, what is dark sphere just below bright core? Main = merging one arm spiral?
Thanks Elizabeth
Guidance please! Is this an asteroid?
Great edge-on galaxy.
Thank you Trevor. That's one hell of a bar:-) The 'spiral arms' don't appear to be attached, hence my hesitancy. Thanks again.
Beautiful galaxy, but I've no idea how to classify it. Help!
I'm not clear what's happening here. 1-arm spiral, with bar feature?
This image puzzles me: It seems to have a single spiral arm, at the top of the structure, with two bright blue objects below. Ideas?
