Could the smaller objects surrounding the larger galaxy be smaller galaxies on collision paths?
Very blue and bright with new star birth.
Blurry and dim, but also blue, so featuring new star birth?
Blurry, dim, and vague.
Very blurry, vague, and dim.
#irregular #starformation
Some blue star formation
Possibly some very faint spiral arms near the edges?
Bright blue color implies star formation.
#merger
Possibly a cloud of gas?
The arms appear really fuzzy, but could this be a spiral galaxy?
very faint brightness
There seems to be two centers or especially bright, dense areas. The surrounding less dense stars appear more patchy.
Pinkish hue infers the presence of old, smaller, cooler stars near the middle of the galaxy.
Bright, blue stars indicate star formation around the center of the galaxy.
Could this be a spiral galaxy viewed from edge-on? I didn't classify it as such.
The cloud surrounding the center looks almost like spiral arms, but the image is too fuzzy to tell.
The two galaxies in the middle (and possibly the smaller one above them) look like they might be heading towards a collision.
The central bulge of this galaxy is especially red in comparison to its more blue spiral arms. The arms must be young, star-forming areas.
This galaxy seems really dim, but I agree that it could be an #irregular galaxy.
I'm thinking it could be an S0 type galaxy, and intermediate between spiral and elliptical galaxies.
This galaxy could be rounded, but it seems to have more outlying and spiral-like clouds of gas or dust extending too far for an elliptical.
