Galaxy Zoo Talk
arms wound into a ring. something a bit odd at lower left (8 oclock)
cigar or spiral edge-on?
galactic nucleus appears #off-centre to NW; another bright area just SW could be the other galaxy in a #merger
appears to be very far away!
i classified as 2-armed, but they are definitely not symmetric. part of larger arm is faint or obscured.
very #diffuse as though galactic centre were most of the galaxy. also curious edge #streamers.
pretty faint but i guessed TWO #arms
a #merger ? but no distortion .... maybe just an #overlap .
appears disturbed/pulled at 11 and 6 o'clock but no sign of object causing disturbance.
#disturbed ? both arms seem to be in unnatural positions, certainly unbalanced. also possibly something extra at 3 o'clock.
large very bright centre
looks like there is another object behind it #overlap , but not sure.
artifact? or ?
i chose star/artifact, but really .... ?
what is dark core inside centre?
blue arm at 5-8 o'clock
adding hastags ... #black #dot
OK thanks Elisabeth.
OK thanks Terrance
aha, thanks Elisabeth.
#dustlane ? NW to SE ... coded as #disturbed anyway
adding hashtag #ring
interesting colour assignments ... i selected #disturbed and #other features, but would like to know what this is.
interesting colour assignments ... i selected "ring" feature ....
double nucleus? i have not encountered this before ....
a black dot on the nucleus -- surely not a black hole! 😃 also a blue object at right -- probably not in the same plane.
ringed galaxy or something else?
looks almost like a spiral superimposed on a globular..
arms are asymmetric ...
i checked off bar", but it looks more like two nucleii ... yet does not have typical merger clues ... ideas?
cool, thanks, how did you do that?
Hmm, indeed, could be. either way can't see the disturbance source.
appears to have a tail at lower right so possible #merger
a shame it's cut off at the bottom. this is the real mccoy anyway! #collision
perhaps has a bit of a tail ....
