    Hi,

For the SDSS images the information is in the SkyServer details, which you can access if you click on GZ Examine and then the SkyServer link... in SkyServer you'd click on the (small-font) Field link in the left menus. The exact dates that each of the different filters were taken is given in five different fields called "mjd_?", where ? is either u, g, r, i, or z. (Our SDSS images are made from the g, r, and i bands.)

MJD is the Modified Julian Date, which is convenient for astronomers recording dates of observations... and pretty much nobody else. There are converters online if you need one!

For the UKIDSS and CANDELS images, it's not quite as easy (!) to get the date, but if you need it for a specific set of data you can contact one of the science team and we'll try to figure out how to make that happen.

    Thanks for classifying!
