Hashtags vs classification categories

  For categories that we can select while classifying an object - bars, mergers, etc. - should we also be adding hashtags, or does that serve no purpose? Or are many duplicative hashtags actually a hassle to the scientists?

  Hi @nyjtm,

  It is the classifications that count 😃

  The hashtags are used to generate certain collections, but it is not necessary to tag every image. It is really more a tool to help volunteers build collections than anything else. I personally try not to duplicate previous tags 😃
