I went into SDSS dr9 from the web and get the same result, so the problem appears to be with them, and not with the Zoo link to them.

Use dr12 until it get fixed?

Do you like the new navigate on the dr13? Its driving me nuts. Prefer the east, west, north and south nav. on the dr9. I am too old for new things.

The drag and release tool? Seems fine to me. Hey, I just noticed, they now have MaNGA observations on dr13.

Note for Newbies: MaNGA is the 3D imaging tool for galaxies.

Oooh, I tried to download a MaNGA file from SDSS dr13. It is 158 MB. Silly of me, since I haven't learned how to use FITS files yet.

You'll figure it all out, very soon.

There's a program called QFitsView that knows how to handle MaNGA data cubes. I haven't actually tried to use it other than to verify that it runs (at least on a Linux desktop; haven't tried the Windows version).

Unless you're prepared to do your own analyses there isn't much reason to download MaNGA data cubes yet. They contain almost no value added data products other than reconstructed griz "images" that were made by projecting the spectra onto filter transmission curves. Supposedly measurements of kinematics and other properties will be incorporated into future releases.

There's a catalog of released data (also in FITS format) described here: http://www.sdss.org/dr13/manga/manga-data/catalogs/.

There's also a master target catalog described here: http://www.sdss.org/dr13/manga/manga-target-selection/targeting-catalog/ that apparently lists all targets that they currently intend to try to observe.
