SDSS seems to be down

  I got the image of the galaxy, but I didn't manage to get any more information. Perhaps SDSS Dr 13, which is working, is easier to handle. Thanks anyway 😃

  😃 DR13 works for me.

  You can go to SDSS DR13 directly from DECaLS btw, select 'SDSS Spectra', then click on the name / description of the galaxy that pops up with a circle (or a nearby one if your galaxy doesn't has one) and you go to an object page where you click 'open in CAS' to go to SDSS DR13.

  EDIT that is SDSS DR12 ofcourse

  But why would I want to go to DECaLS first if I could go straight to SDSS DR13?

  Good question.

  Uhm

  Well DECaLS shows fainter details than SDSS, so if you see an interesting SDSS galaxy you can check it out in DECaLS and compare with SDSS and then go directly to SDSS DR12 and find all info you want, and that saves time and stuff (?)

  So SDSS dr12 is working, but SDSS dr9 is not.
