Also I can imagine how merger pull on galaxies but how would one arm be stretched one way with the other that spread out in the other direction?

It is not close. It has a slightly yellow colour which indicates that is is far away. The photoz is 0.063724. So the arms are very long.
Merger research in being simulated in galaxies. But no two collisions are the same.

I just seen the perto radius is 8 n each arm is dbl that if not more. That's a total of 40 which means nothing to me but I was curious how much longer they have been found?
